Still day over Kinsale Harbour with Snow

A still day (11th Jan 2010) with snow over Kinsale Harbour. Charles’ Fort is on the left, and the Blockhouse on the right. Although the sky looks threatening no further snow fell. The day after a force 9 gale came in. The wind and rain quickly removed the snow and normal weather resumed.

Sunrise over Charles’ Fort in Snow

Snow is a rare event in Kinsale. Here the sun is rising on the 11th January over Charles’ Fort (centre). The snow lasted just one day.
